I didn’t receive any money from Dasuki, says PDP scribe

National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Professor Wale Oladipo, on Monday, said that he did not receive any money from the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd). Prof Oladipo said this in a statement personally signed by him in Abuja.

The PDP National Secretary stated categorically that he has no financial dealings with the Office of the National Security Adviser or any other government official before and after the elections.

A national daily (not Daily Times) had reported that Prof. Oladipo wrote to the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to be allowed to refund the sum of N75 million he allegedly received from Dasuki so as not to be taken to court.

But Oladipo denied offering to refund certain amount of money to the Federal Government in order to evade prosecution.

According to him, “I have no financial dealings with the Office of the National Security Adviser or any other government official before and after the elections.

“At no point did I collect money from Col. Dasuki or any other government official.

“The report is clearly politically motivated. I affirm that all my actions and communications are motivated by highest ideals of patriotism, transparency and commitment to national reformation”, he pointed out.

The PDP National Scribe, it will be recalled, had sometimes claimed that he received an anonymous message on his telephone, inviting him for interrogation.

He, however, went to court to prevent the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), or other government agencies from arresting or prosecuting him in connection with Dasukigate.
