The 4th edition of the National Youth Game came to a closed with team Niger at the 28th of the medals table, having just 3 Bronze.
Dr Olusola Olushade, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development affirmed that the 4th edition had witnessed a lot of changes like the screening of over age athletes and application of new rules in some sports.
The Federal Permanent Secretary however described the 2018 edition as remarkable that need to be improve upon, he said it is hope that the lesson learned will be used by state to address their challenges towards the next edition.
Meanwhile, the Honourable Commissioner, Niger State Ministry of Sports Development, Honourable Duza Babur had bid team Niger a farewell were he met with athletes and officials.
Honourable Duza Babur stated that team Niger had done the state proud by participating and making a mark in the games, he stressed out that adequate preparation will be made towards subsequent competition and championship.
Honourable Duza finally thanked the contingent and highlighted that National Youth Game is a yardstick for the upcoming National Sports festival in Abuja.
