Head of Musawa Local Government Administration in Katsina State Alhaji Mukhtar Aminu Bakori has described traditional rulers as partners in progress for the development of every society.
Alhaji Mukhtar Aminu Bakori made this known while laying a foundation for the construction of District Head’s Palace for Durbin Katsina at Jikamshi town.
He said traditional rulers play a vital role in the execution of Government policies and programs as well as ensuring security at the grassroots.
The Head of the Local Government said the Durbi of Katsina has for long sought for the palace. noting that the State Government has given approval of over 28 million naira for the project and 50 percent of the amount has already been given to the contractor for the take off of the project.
According to him the project is expected to be completed in 60 days. saying that the Local Government would continue to work for the improvement of the welfare of traditional rulers in the area.
The Head of Local Government administration thanked the efforts of traditional rulers and urged them to continue to support government policies and programs.
The representative of Durbin Katsina and District Head of Jikamshi Alhaji Umaru Dorayi said for over 22 years, the district has been yarning for a palace and district head residence.
He restated the resolve of traditional rulers from the area to continue to support government policies and programs.
