The All Progressives Party, APC, has congratulated Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on his 61st anniversary, describing him as the man who laid the solid foundation for the modest successes recorded by incumbent governor of Kano state, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, Friday in Abuja added that Mr Kwankwaso is a staunch party man, who has contributed immensely to the growth and success of the APC.
“As one of the key leaders of the New PDP who joined our Party before the last general elections, Kwankwaso remains one of the strong pillars of the party.
The party further thanked Mr Kwankwaso for his sacrifices and commitment to strengthening democracy in the country.
Kwankwaso and his successor, Dr Ganduje have long been locked in a battle of supremacy over the leadership of the party in the state, a development that forced the party to set up a panel to investigate the crisis. Since the report was submitted to the national leadership of the party several months ago, no action or major decision has been taken on it.
