Attention: National Pension Commission-(PenCom)
Section II (1) of the Pension Reform Act 2004 states that “Every employee shall maintain an account (in this Act referred to as ‘retirement savings account’) in his name with any pension fund administrator of his choice.
Why did former Gov. Aliyu Muazu Babangida mandate Civil Servants into his choice Pension Scheme? Why did the former Governor decide to use Premium Pensions et-al to be the pension’s fund administrators of Niger State Pensioners and what is the status of the scheme as at today?
The Niger State Labour Congress in collaboration with other Labour Unions in a unanimous communique wrote former Governor Aliyu, to direct the immediate stoppage of compulsory participatory pension scheme by state appointed pension funds administrators for civil servants. As at the time of compiling this report, no news has been heard.
Where is the pensioners money…? Please Governor Abu Sani do something about the plight of these affected pensioners.
