THE NIGER STATE BUSINESS AGENDA : Introduction

The Centre for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in the Year 2009 embarked on the advocacy training “strengthening the voice of business in Nigeria” for both business and professional Associations in Niger State.

 

It was an avenue that brought together the various groups with a view to partner with CIPE and champion the course of strengthening democracy and improving business in Niger State in particular and Nigeria in general.

 

“DEVELOPING BUSINESS AGENDA FOR NIGER STATE” – For this research work on the project IBB University Lapai consult was commissioned by the Centre for International Private Enterprise CIPE, in collaboration with Niger State Coalition for Business and Professional Associations NICOBPA to identify and examine the major problems stifling smooth operations and growth of business enterprises in Niger State, Nigeria.

 

The research adopted a survey instrument to gather vital data and information about the Niger State’s business environment and analyzed such information using descriptive and inferential statistical tools in order to arrive at evidence-based findings that will form the bedrock of the business agenda.

 

The Business Agenda represents common problems facing Business community in Niger State and the possible solutions to the problems.
