Niger House of Assembly Lauds Pilgrim Welfare Board

Chairman house Committee on religious affairs Hon. Umar Abubakar member representing Mashegu has lauded Pilgrim Welfare Board on level of it preparedness.

Umar stated this after a robost interface with the executive secretary and other members of the board. “We had a robost interface all gear towards 2021 hajj operations”

The Executive Secretary Niger State Pilgrim Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Makun Lapai said they were at the state assembly to intimate the committee on the level of the board preparedness for the 2021 hajj exercise.

He said over 1,500 intending Pilgrims from Niger State have accepted to roll over their 2020 hajj fares operations that was cancelled due to Covid- 19 pandemic.

He added that directive has been given to all Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers across the 25 LGA to publish names of the roll over intending Pilgrims for transperacy. He maintained that over 1,500 intending Pilgrims has so far roll over their payments.

He commended lawmakers for their support and cooperation.
