Former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Muhtar Usman, is dead.
Usman died on Tuesday night at a hospital in Zaria after a brief illness.
He died at the age of 63.
The President of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Illitrus Ahmadu, confirmed his death to The PUNCH on Wednesday morning.
“I just received the news of his death. He was rushed to a hospital yesterday in Zaria, Kaduna State, before he passed on,” Ahmadu told our correspondent on phone.
Also, the General Manager, Public Relations, NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, confirmed the sad occurrence in a text message sent to our correspondent.
