Niger State Commisioner Of Education Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu has reaffirmed that quality Education data are essential ingredients for effective planning and policy implementation at the Basic and Secondary Education level.

The Commissioner stated this at the Flaggoff of One Day Refesher Training of Coordinators, Supervisors and Enumerators for the Conduct of 2019/2020 Annual School Census on the 15th September,2020.

Hajiya Hannatu noted that the Private Schools full participation is key to the overall success of the Annual School Census and their low participation will hinder the objective of having a quality and complete data on Private Schools.

While commending UNICEF, DFID for their consistency, financial and technical support for the smooth conduct of ASC in the State, She thanked His Excellency, the Executive Governor Dr Abubakar Sani Bello for always providing the Ministry with the platform and needed support to carryout it’s planned activities.

In his welcome remark, the Permanent Secretary Of the Ministry, Abubakar Aliyu stressed that the training will have great impact on data management in our Schools.

In their various Goodwill Messages, the Executive Chairman NSUBEB, Dr Isah Adamu, the Executive Chairman SEB, Alh Ahmed Usman and the State Project Coordinator UNICEF Mr. Kolawole as well as the State Chairman NAPPS Mr Femi Alalade emphasized on imperative of data Management in taking Education System to greater height.

It will be recalled that ASC is conducted Annually all over the Federation and it is the main source of Education data at the Federal Level.
