People’s Democratic Party (PDP) may get an opportunity to win many states, senatorial and National Assembly seats in the 2023 general elections if the present All Progressives’ Congress (APC) crisis continues at both national, states and local governments levels.
This was disclosed by a former member of the Kano State House of Assembly during the Second Republic, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi in an interview with our correspondent in Kano.
He lamented that the party’s crisis has desulted in its total failure, requiring urgent measures to nip in the bud.
He said that, “we have seen how many political parties lost seats as a result of internal tussle, therefore, APC should try and reconcile all the warring factions in order to ensure that the party gives wider margin to other opposition parties during elections, and ensure that all those who remain loyal to the party are given equal opportunities”. He stressed.
The ex-lawmaker called on the party’s leadership, the stakeholders, elected persons under the party’s platform to join hands and restore the glory of the party before it is too late.
He enjoined the entire APC supporters to always remain committed to the progress of the party.
