The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Abdullahi Ma’aji (Mutawallen Kontagora) in Kontagora.
Late Alhaji Abdullahi Ma’aji who died on Wednesday this week in Abuja after a brief illness was the former Director General, Federal Ministry of Industry.
Speaking shortly after prayers, the SSG described late Abdullahi Ma’aji as a man of exemplary character, humble, respectful and dedicated to the development of Niger State and Nigeria.
Ahmed Matane elucidated that the sudden death of Mutawallen Kontagora is a big blow to the people of not only Kontagora Emirate but Nigerians as a whole.
According to the SSG, “only God can help us bear the pain and the loss of his departure. When we consider his exceptionally agreeable personality, warmth and rare intelligence and how much he has done for Niger State and Nigeria as a whole, we shall always owe him lifetime gratitude”.
“We are however comforted that the great values of hard work, honesty and selflessness that the deceased left behind will serve as a guiding light to the present and next generations”, Ahmed Matane added.
He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of the departed and make Al-jannah Firdausi his final resting place as well as give his wife, children, friends and well-wishers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
