THE RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT OF TRICYCLES AND MOTORCYLISTS IN MINNA AND ITS ENVIRONS STILL ENFORCE

Niger State Government has warned operators of tricycles otherwise known as Keke Napep, commercial motorcyclists called Okada and other motorcyclists that the law restricting their movement from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. which has since commenced on Saturday 15th of this month is still enforce.

A statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Security, Aliyu Isah Ekkan called on the operators of tricycles and motorcyclists in Minna and its environs to adhere strictly to the order as security agencies have been directed to enforce the restriction order and anybody found violating it would be decisively dealt with.

The Permanent Secretary explained that Niger State remain the most peaceful State in the country and government would not fold its arms and allow some disgruntled elements to trampled on the existing peace, hence the need for Nigerlites to put hands on deck in order to put an end to the security challenges in the State.

Isah Ekkan reiterated that the action to restrict the movement of tricycles and motorcycles by the state government became necessary in order to secure the state from the unnecessary security challenges that it has witnessed for sometime now.
