Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State had declared that the State is relatively the most peaceful and secure for serving corps members who are posted to serve in the country.
The Governor, represented by the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Development, Honorable Emmanuel Umar made the assertion during the swearing-in ceremony and opening of 2019 Batch “C” stream one orientation course held at Paiko.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello reiterated his administration’s commitment to Youth development and charged the corps members to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship during their orientation course.
The Governor stated that projects embarked upon by the state government had greatly improved the infrastructure in the camp facility, urging the corps members to embrace rural communities that they might be posted to and accept to teach in order to impact knowledge to the local populace.
Similarly, the Chairman NYSC Niger State Governing Board and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane congratulated the corps members and charged them to be law abiding citizens of the state.
Alhaji Ibrahim Matane said Niger State Government is happy to house the North Central NYSC zonal office and confirmed the state government’s readiness to provide accommodation and zonal office for its operations.
Meanwhile, the State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Funmilayo Ajayi confirmed that about 1810 corps members had been registered for the 2019 batch “C” stream one orientation course.
