Gov. Abu Sani paid an unscheduled visit to the Assembly Complex to inspect the on-going construction


The Niger State Government has pledged to provide necessary infrastructure and enabling environment to ensure that the 9th Legislature in the State operate its constitutional role without any hindrance.

This was disclosed by the Executive Governor of the State Alh. (Dr.) Abubakar Sani Bello, when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Assembly Complex to inspect the on-going construction of office complex and other renovation of projects including the main chamber of the legislature going on in the Assembly as well as the completed office accommodation of the State House of Assembly Service Commission within the premises.

The Governor was accompanied to the visit by the leadership of the House, led by the Speaker Hon. Barr. Abdullahi Bawa Wuse, and some other members including the Clerk of the House as well as officials of the construction company handling the project AFRIUM NIGERIA LIMITED, officials of the State Ministry of Works who took time to brief the Governor and his entourage on the status of the three projects inspected.

The Governor later expressed satisfaction on the quality of the job done and also reaffirmed optimism that the ongoing projects of the office complex of the legislature will be completed within the next 5 to 6 months as promised by the Site Engineer of the company, Engr. Saidu Abdul Mamman.

Speaking on the same vein, after the inspection visit, the Speaker of the State Legislature Hon. Barr. Abdullahi Bawa Wuse also commended the constructing firm for a job well done and urged them to maintain the momentum so as to meet the proposed period of completion of the project, which will enable Members of the state parliament to have the desired working environment to discharge their constitutional duties.
