2019 NIGERIA GENERAL ELECTION……NIGER STATE DECIDE…PART SIX (6) SMART CARDS RECONFIGURATION & NAME REPLACEMENT Compiled by Niger State Ministry of Information and Strategy

Four thousand nine hundred and fifty (4,950) smart cards readers had been reconfigured to be use in 4,950 polling units and voting points plus extra two hundred and seventy four (274) smart cards representing the political wards of Niger State will be deploy on 23rd of February 2019.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Niger State, Professor Sam Egwu confirmed that the reconfiguration of the smart card readers is one of the reformed carried out by INEC to deliver a credible election in the state.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission pursuant to the decision of the Abuja High Court order in a suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/140/2018 had directed the name changed from David Umar to be replaced by the plaintiff Sani Mohammed Musa (313) as the Senatorial candidate of the Niger East Federal District.

It will recalled that the plaintiff Sani 313 filed the case as the duly winner of the APC senatorial primaries, while the defended Senator David Umaru appealed the case as the duly APC automatic ticket candidate of the Niger East Federal District.
