Champions League: What Lucas Moura said after Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona

Tottenham Hotspur forward, Lucas Moura has spoken up on his side’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona in the Champions League encounter played on Wednesday night at Camp Nou.

Lucas Moura’s second half goal ensured that Mauricio Pochettino’s men drew against the hosts.

However, forward Ousmane Dembele did score for Barca in the first half.

Reacting to Spurs’ draw with Barca, Lucas tweeted: “Two seasons ago, at the Camp Nou, the improbable happened and I came out crying from the stadium.

“Today on the same stage, the unlikely happened again, but today I came out crying with joy.

“It’s almost the beginning of my career at Tottenham. God is a specialist in writing new stories. His plans are not the same as ours, nor are his time the same as ours. He knows all things and always has the best for us.”

Luca, who joined Spurs in January from Paris Saint-Germain, has scored seven goals in all competitions for Pochettino’s men so far this season.

The draw against Barcelona means Tottenham have now qualified for the Champions League round of 16.

Tottenham will now tackle Burnley this weekend in the Premier League fixture.
