The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has apologised to two of the party’s governorship aspirants in Kwara State, Malam Saliu Mustapha and Hon. Moshood Mustapha, over the unauthorised announcement of their disqualification during the recent direct primary conducted for the party’s governorship in the state.
In an apology letter personally signed and issued to the duo by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the party said both aspirants were cleared by the NWC-appointed screening panel as governorship aspirants to contest for the primary, but that their disqualification was erroneously announced by an unknown source when voting was midway.
“The incident at the governorship primary election and the subsequent embarrassing mischief directed at your esteemed persons by the faceless individual in the name of the party is deeply regretted.
Hon. Moshood Mustapha said he accepted the apology in good faith and in the interest of the party.
