“Sometimes people hold a core belief that’s very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief”
– Frantz Fanon
I started with the above quote by the famous Martinician Psychiatrist, Philosopher, revolutionary, and writer, Frantz Fanon , in reference to the fleets of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s Wailers, who had closed their eyes and chosen to see nothing good in what he is doing.
I have chosen to differ, I have decided to open my eyes and see the good works of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and his style of leadership. I have resolved never to allow my eyes to be covered in blind opposition, to the extend of not seeing anything good in the regime. I have chosen never to be a Wailer!
I have discovered that Mr. Governor has executed projects in virtually every parts of the state in fulfilment of his campaign promises.
He has faced headlong , the issue of infrastructural revival in health, education, judiciary, water, agriculture, information and roads rehabilitation with vigour, giving priority to the people’s need.
He has toured the 25 Local Government Councils in the State to asses what he has done and what needs to be done, so that they can be in this year’s budget
Heated debates has taken the front burner in appraising the performance rating of Governor Lolo , particularly in the social media. The Wailers will never open their eyes positively and see the good works of Mr. Governor.
My call to the Wailers is that they should be positive in their assessment, since 3 or 4 years is never enough a yardstick to gauge or measure any governor and his achievements. Allow Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to do his second tenure, this will give him ample time to complete execution of all the laudable plans and projects I discovered, he has drawn to develop Niger State.
I have chosen to support him to the logical conclusion and vote for his 2nd term in 2019 election, Insha Allah!
