Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has revealed plans to sign a striker and another player to replace Yaya Toure after the midfielder ended his eight-year stay at the Etihad Stadium outfit.
Guardiola has spent over £600 million since arriving at the club in 2016, and his most expensive purchases were Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy and John Stones.
“Yaya [Toure] is leaving, so we have to replace him, and maybe another one,”Guardiola told Sky Sports.
“One or two more, no more. We cannot invest…maybe people don’t believe me but we don’t have the money to invest £300m every season.”
Asked which areas City will target this summer, Guardiola added: “Maybe in front, but I don’t know.
“It happened with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. I am curious how we are going to run without the bull. That is our main target.
“That would be a good signal if we are still a humble team with desire and show how we run back.”
