The meeting of Directors with the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung during the National Youth games is to acquaint themselves and interact on issues bothering the National Youth Games, the forthcoming National Sports Festival and other championship tournament in the country.

The Directors highlighted the National Youth games as a stepping stone towards identifying future champions, they stressed out the arrangements and organization of the 2017 games as average.

They commended the games superb secretariat that coordinated the entire staging of the tournament, they stated that necessary strategy must be adopted to pick up the right athletes for further engagement and task ahead.

The Minister and the Directors agreed to foster National unity and integration through Youth Sports, they also opined that the games is a medium for Youth empowerment and peaceful coexistence of Nigeria state.

Meanwhile the preliminary feature for Team Niger athletes engagement is as follow: In Handball Team Niger will play Team sokoto by 12.30 today 10th of September 2017. Team Niger athletics will start their competition on Monday 11th September 2017. Team Niger Kung fu will also play on 13th – 14th September 2017. Team Niger karate will play on 11th – 12th September 2017.

Team Niger Wrestling will play today 10th – 11th September 2017, while Team Niger Chess will play on 11th – 12th September 2017. Team Niger scrabble will play on the 13th September 2017 and Team Niger Boxing will play on 11th September 2017.

Team Niger Golf will compete on the 11th September while Team Niger Swimming will play today 10th – 13th September 2017. Team Niger Squash will play today 10th September and Team Niger Table tennis will compete on 11th September 2017.

Team Niger Taekwando will compete on 11th – 13th September and Weight lifting will compete on 11th September 2017 while Team Niger Tennis date not known. Finally Cricket will play today 10th of September 2017 by 11am – 12 pm.
