Two hundred and seventy four students from the 274 wards of 25 local government’s area of the state are ready to start their first term academic calendar at the Niger state Teacher Professional Development Institute Training Centre at Mararraban Dandaudu, Munya Local Government.
The Chairperson Implementation Committee, Hajiya Dije Jibrin Bala, mni, MFR, disclosed this during a meeting with the 25 Local Governments Education Secretaries of the state, she revealed that the students who are selected will received the best education with conducive learning environment.
Hajiya Dije, stressed that with the cooperation and support of the Education Secretaries they will be making history that will last the taste of time, she urged them to overcome the disconnect and ensured the successes of the training centre. She however cautioned that extra hard work have to been done to close the gap.
The chairperson stated that the education secretaries must constantly inspect and visit schools to identify problems which she said is the key to their success, Hajiya Dije commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for initiating the policy for the improvement and upgrade of teaching profession in the education sub sector, she charged them to actively participate in the institute activities.
The Chairperson further explained that the processes and procedure carried out by the institute is in conjunction with the E.S in other to get the best result in selection process, she charged them to be involved in the improvement of education in the state.
She however continued that the successful selected candidate who are ready to collect their admission must be mobilize by the E.S so as to identify the pupils in other to orient and prepare them and their parents for the task ahead using the traditional rulers or their local government chairmen.
Hajiya Dije stated that all arrangement had been concluded in term of security which she said is critical for the pupils and parents to feel safe and protected, she warned that swapping of pupils and whatever arrangement will not be tolerated and such cases will be sent back, she cautioned that gadgets such as electronics, heater and cooker etc. is prohibited in the training center, she ascertained that it is the responsibility of the E.S to see that the pupils are package in a well coordinated manner.
Similarly the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board NSUBEB Chairman, Alhaji Alhassan Mohammed Bawa Niwuro, charged the education secretaries to be above board, he stressed that legacy is the best thing to bequeath a child. He cautioned that the training center should be sustain in other to produce future leaders.
The Chairman of the Education Secretaries forum thanked the chairperson and the committee for the job well done, he however urged his colleagues to work hard towards the successful implementation of the training center.
” In the wise word of the Chairperson she said ‘we must participate in bringing out a good child in other to get them a better world and a lasting hereafter’ ‘we must know our students in other to know their attitude and character.”
