STUDENTS SELECTION EXAMS KICK STARTED ACROSS THE 25 LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGER STATE

The Niger State Teacher’s Professional Development Institute Selection Exams have kick started on Tuesday 25th July 2017, across the 25 local governments of the state.

The process which will screen the 548 students in 274 wards for eligibility requirements into the institute training center at Marraraban Dandaudu, took place at Seven educational zones of the state namely: Bida zone comprises Bida, Katcha, Gbako, Lapai and Agaie with 55 wards, Kutigi Zone comprises Lavun, Edati and Mokwa with 33 wards, Minna zone comprises Chanchaga, Bosso, Shiroro, Munya, Rafi and Paikoro with 69 wards, the Suleja zone comprises Suleja, Gurara and Tafa with 30 wards, the Kontagora zone comprises Kontagora, Mariga, Mashegu and Wushishi with 45 wards, the Rijau zone comprises Rijau and Magama with 22 wards while Borgu zones comprises Borgu and Agwara with 20 wards.

The Chairperson, Hajiya Dije Jibrin Bala, mni, MFR, During her inspection tour of some of the educational zones of the state showed her satisfaction on the process of the exams and the conduct of the students.

She said standard have been set to screen and select the students in other to admit the best into the training institute serving as a reference model. she however said the process is carryout to ensured equity and fairness in the selection process.

Most of the examination centers visited, the education secretaries from each zones were present in their zonal examination centers, the students in each examination centers were properly sorted out according to their wards, implementation committee members are fully involved in the conduct of the examination process which was smooth and hitch free.
