His Royal Highness Barrister Muhammed Sani Haliru Kitoro the IV, expressed his delight with the new development and pledged his unflinching support to the successful Implementation of the Niger State Teachers Professional Development Institute, the Emir, thanked Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, for his prompt initiative in coming up with this laudable institute in other to salvage the State education sector from decay. Haliru Kitoro the IV described the sensitization exercise as highly commendable as it afforded the grass root stakeholders to air their views.
The Council chairman, Honorable Ahmed B. Suleiman, reiterated the Borgu Local Government confidence on the Committee, considering the composition of its members, he then assured the Government of their support and contributions towards the successful take-off of the institute.
The Chairperson of the Implementation Committee, Hajiya (Dr) Dije Jibrin Bala, mni, MFR, briefed the Borgu stakeholders on the establishment of the Institute for Teacher Professional Development in the State, the chairperson explained the criteria that would be used for the selection of the institute pioneer trainees and urged the Emirate to be honest and sincere in selecting the candidates based on their academic competences.
